Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections are popular in aesthetic medicine to rejuvenate and slow ageing. They use the person's unique tissue growth factors and healing properties to revitalise mesenchymal-epithelial tissue by improving blood supply. PRP also stimulates collagen and elastin formation, which will enhance and increase over time.

What are platelet-rich plasma injections (PRP)?

We draw a small volume of the client's blood (10-20 ml). Then, through centrifugation, we separate PRP from the blood and inject a fine needle into identified areas. It may take a few weeks (or months in case of hair re-growth) for the results of the PRP therapy to become visible, but with two to three top-up treatments every 4 to 6 months, you can expect the effects of PRP therapy to last for up to one and a half years. Recovery time is minimal. An ice pack and mild painkillers could alleviate reported mild discomfort at the injection site, swelling and bruising.
