Skin tags are harmless, non-infective little overgrowths of normal skin that can be unsightly and catch things. Besides, often you may find a skin tag on one's neck, eyelids, armpits, chest and groin areas. There may be just one or multiple numbers of tags of various sizes from one to four millimetres and raised away from the skin on a "stalk". Rarely do they drop off? Electrolysis is also effective for facial thread veins, milia, blood spots, common warts, plane warts, seborrhoeic warts and age spots.
How does electrolysis work?
We can remove them by administering a tiny amount of local anaesthetic to the area and removing them with a surgical blade or by cauterising them with diathermy (electrolysis). We may apply a small dressing afterwards. This procedure may take only ten to fifteen minutes.
